Many men arrive at therapy having learned early to manage feeling by not feeling it. I offer a space where emotional inhibition can be examined rather than simply maintained, including in the particular demands of fatherhood.

I offer individual psychotherapy to adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and other long-standing patterns that inhibit creative thinking about the future. My approach is psychoanalytic, sometimes called psychodynamic: rather than quick-fix answers or directive advice, we build a detailed picture of your life and mind, and think carefully about what needs to be better understood.
I am a full member of the Tavistock Society of Psychotherapists and the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), and adhere to their codes of ethics and professional practice. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and a founding member of Psychotherapy East.
